It is no secret that law school is expensive. The expenses pile up as a law student, and you can be left scraping for money during final exams if you are not careful. As a current law student, I wrote this book to help other law students gain control of spending habits during law school and establish a monthly budgeting system. This book is for you, the law student who wants to get a hold on finances before your 1L year or who currently attends law school and wants to control spending. I want to help you develop a budget system and stick to it, so that you can enjoy your life and buy the things you truly want. The average law student only has $8,000 in student loans each semester to pay for rent, car payments, car insurance, gasoline, groceries, and other basic living expenses. To make that money last throughout the semester can be tricky, but it does not have to be difficult. Setting a budget and cutting spending can actually be easy. By cutting spending in the easy ways outlined in this book, you will be able to save hundreds of dollars in a semester. I hope that you follow the budgeting tips in this book, so that you can learn how to lay a foundation for a prosperous future filled with joy, wealth, and success.

Anyone who has been tracking the legal market in the lats 4 years knows that now is a very bad time to be in, or newly out of, law school. Given the abysmal chance at getting a decently paying job straight out of school, and the expenses that come with simply passing the bar and maintaining a licence even if you're one of the lucky few, I was greatly surprised at the extent to which students not otherwise wealthy were willing to live beyond their means and rely on their student loans and future dreams of affluence to get them through school.Ms. Nowicki addresses this problem straight on in her usual simple, creative, and clever style using her own experience as a law student at the height (or or should I say low) of the legal market collapse. I highly recommend anyone considering law school to read this book. Think about it, if it saves you even one poor financial decision, it will easily pay for itself.
A good lawyer should always pay attention to detail and continually better themselves... law students or really any students: listen to Ms. Nowicki and start now.

Budgeting Your Way Through Law School Julianne Nowicki 9781475079869 Books Reviews
Although I am not a law student, these are great tips that everyone can use! I'm eager to read more books from Ms. Nowicki.
I know that law school will be very expensive. These tips gave me great ideas for how to budget and make the most of my money when I begin law school. Very helpful!
Miss Nowicki must be one of the most motivated women I know. She is in law school, writing two books, and still finds time to be an active part of her community. This alone qualifies her as an important advisor for incoming law students! Every law student will tell you that the level of stress experienced in law school is unparallelled. Can you imagine being broke in addition to this? I can. I've been there! 300 in the morning cold sweats?! Oh yeah! The good news is Julianne has said, "Enough!" She has figured out the secrets, and now you will have one less reason to wake up at 300 in the morning with the panic shivers! Thank you Julianne!
Know the author and have nothing but good things to say about her. Hope her second edition includes more advice about the value law schools provide students after they graduate, but that might be better in a followup sequel.
